Mejor que nunca (“I’m Looking Better Than Ever”) is Alma La Forte‘s show, and its rallying cry: “How are a 20-year-old woman, a 30-year-old, and a 40-year-old alike? In that all three are looking better than ever… But none for the same reason. If at 20 you want to take on the world, at 30 you go on a diet, and at 40, the world has taken you on… Because the best is yet to come… but it better hurry, because time is running out.”
La Forte takes us on a journey from adolescence to the present, satirizing her own experiences and flaunting a life that’s utterly absurd and full of contradictions. Because there aren’t enough people who keep their mouths shut… but she certainly won’t be one of them. Fussy, a perfectionist, obsessive, mystical, and a fan of satire and comedy, La Forte brings *Estoy como nunca* to the stage after touring for nearly two years with *Mujeres: la Dramedia*. Surprisingly, she now believes that airing women’s dirtiest and most intimate secrets is a good idea.
