The Navarran theater troupe Amico Teatro uses humor and satire to denounce—while respecting religious beliefs—the registration of real estate by the Catholic Church.
Two naive angels serve as the masters of ceremonies in this play. From above, they watch in disbelief as altar boys, bishops, seminarians, and civil servants handle the registration of churches and estates. It’s a unique lottery in which luck is determined by diocese, and the grand prize is the Mosque of Córdoba.
