Luzia Alberro + Xabier Euskitze
This year marks the 150th anniversary of the death of Indalezio Bizkarrondo, known as Bilintx. This milestone offers an opportunity to learn more about the most brilliant bertsolari San Sebastián has ever had. The speakers will discuss his work and the city as it was at that time.
Luzia Alberro, author of the dissertation Bertsolarien ahoz: modernizazio prozesua eta identitate bideak Gipuzkoan, 1830–1936 (The Voice of the Bertsolari: The Process of Modernization and Paths to Identity in Gipuzkoa, 1830–1936), is well-versed in the era in which Bilintx lived, and Xabier Euzkitze, a bertsolari and host, will explain the themes addressed in Bilintx’s work.
