Olvido Flores
She tells us a story full of bittersweet beauty, poetry, the circus, and war—told through the language of objects—a tribute to memory and remembrance.
The Anastasini Circus, a troupe of more than 50 performers, was touring northern Spain when its lights went out as they danced with death.
Olvido Flores brings us the testimonies of those who lived through the events that took place in Lodosa (Navarra) in July 1936 and who still hold onto those memories. They say that some were shot and that the rest were forced to entertain the troops.
This is their story; this is their downfall.
