This production by La Escalera de Tijera and Z Teatro offers a retrospective of Spain’s Golden Age, bringing to the stage some of the fundamental issues of that era—issues that remain relevant today. It does so through a unique, visual, and aesthetic language, enriching the classical texts with physical theater, clowning, circus arts, humor, and live music.

It traces the history of those nearly two centuries on a journey where comedians introduce us to different characters and stories, addressing topics that are still relevant today, such as wars, the marginalization of women, and how to survive in a society dominated by personal ambition.
