The exhibition is dedicated to the career of paleoartist Mauricio Antón (Bilbao, 1961), a professional paleontological illustrator who has worked on numerous exhibitions at museums around the world. His work as an illustrator is inseparable from his research, which has led him to publish numerous scientific articles.
He is known for his recreations of extinct animals from the past, depicted in complex compositions within their natural environments, and for the detail in his studies of human evolution, which reflect the psychology of society and cultural expectations.
