A writer struggles with writer’s block as she tries to shape a story about loneliness and loss. Everything seems under control until her main character decides to rebel: she refuses to accept her fate, doesn’t recognize herself in the drama assigned to her, and begins to question every decision made by her creator.
What begins as a meta-literary game turns into a duel—as comical as it is uncomfortable—between author and character, where control and free will, the need for meaning, the fear of emptiness, and the urgency to reinvent oneself clash.
Rebellion in the Script is a smart and biting dramatic comedy that poses an essential question: Who really writes our story?
