San Sebastian “Caldereros”
If you want more information , you can access the organizer detail sheet.
The Hungarian Coppersmiths or Coppersmiths of Hungary troupe has its origins in the Turkish Coppersmiths troupe, which was organized by La Tertulia de la Juventud (The Youth Gathering) and paraded on Carnival Monday in 1828 dressed as Italians and Turks, singing and banging chocolate pots and other metal utensils in unison.
During this festival, one of the oldest in San Sebastián, countless groups parade through the streets of the city, raising a clamor of frying pans and hammers while hundreds of voices sing the melodies of the brilliant Raimundo Sarriegi.
