Street Pole Dance
Pole dancing has always been taboo in Japan, but Meriko has managed to change that perception. In Street Pole Dance, she showcases her physical strength combined with sublime artistic movements. Her dance is emotional, powerful, and delicate; she is a mysterious and beautiful figure who expresses the fears of a strong woman.
Meriko is a professional dancer with a career spanning more than 16 years and has been performing pole dance for a decade. Recognized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government as a “heaven artist,” she is to date the only artist to have received this certification and has earned the distinction of being Japan’s first street pole dancer.
Pole dancing is considered a discipline of high artistic merit and has attracted fans from all over the world.
Otros Aires
Otros Aires is a show featuring acrobatics, tango, and comedy performed as a duo. It takes the audience on a journey into the Argentine universe, creating a unique atmosphere filled with mischief and humor.
Mercedes Martín and Pablo Raffo form Duo Laos, a company of Argentine artists based in Barcelona that performs around the world. Trained in disciplines such as aerial acrobatics, hand-to-hand aerial acrobatics, and the large trapeze, they have been sharing the stage since 2003 in circuses, dinner shows, theatrical productions, summer festivals, and more.
