The young Polish pianist Szymon Nehring will give a concert as part of the Frédéric Chopin Series organized in collaboration with Donostia Musika. Nehring is a winner of the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Competition and a finalist in the Chopin Prize.
In this concert, he will perform, among other works, a selection of mazurkas. The mazurka is a quintessentially Polish musical form, specifically from the region where Chopin lived—Mazovia—and it is one of his favorite musical expressions.
