Txikijazz | ARFI: ‘Tela sonora’
If you want more information , you can access the organizer detail sheet.
Tela Sonora is a unique film-concert featuring animated short films by Brazilian directors. Electronic and contemporary music, indigenous chants, and field recordings made during the artists’ tours throughout Brazil intertwine as they take us through the streets of São Paulo or deep into the heart of the Amazon rainforest to discover the people and animals that inhabit these places.
Founded in 1977, ARFI is Europe’s oldest collective dedicated to jazz and improvised music. Its exceptional longevity is due to the personalities of its members—all of whom are passionate improvisers and composers—and to the strength of their collective bond, rooted in a shared passion: the relentless search for new energy in musical creation. ARFI has given rise to a multitude of groups, performances, and events both in France and abroad, always with the aim of reaching an audience beyond the circle of connoisseurs.
