If you want more information , you can access the organizer detail sheet.
(in Basque)
Memoria de Montevideo (1961) is the only musical composition that Jorge Oteiza ever recorded. The work is based on a short and supposedly incomplete poem, presented as a sound composition recorded on magnetic tape—in other words, as a work of Musique Concrète.
In this talk, Xabier Erkizia explores the traces of Oteiza’s sonic universe, following an exhaustive study of the theories developed by the Basque sculptor regarding sound and the original recording. There is no other work of this kind in his entire sound archive, making it a particularly significant milestone in the artist’s career.
