Eneko Gernandez is the winner of the eleventh season of MasterChef Spain and a former professional footballer. Born in Zaragoza, he swapped the ball for a spoon at nearly 40 and is now a renowned chef. After leaving the programme, he spent six months in Donostia – San Sebastian studying for a master’s degree at the Basque Culinary Center.
