How should I write the post?

The post can be in text or video format:

– Video post: The post must contain an introductory text of at least 4-5 lines with a personal view and links to one or more videos, preferably short ones.

– Text format post: Below we explain how you should write; the tone, structure and conditions..

Tone

It is recommended to write in the first person. The language should be fresh, friendly, light, direct…

Structure

– Headline (1-2 lines): this is the ‘hook’ of the post; it should be creative and grab attention…
– Header image
– Introduction/Teaser (1-3 lines): the second most important ‘hook’. Briefly summarise what you are going to say in an attractive and suggestive way to make people want to continue reading.
– Body: one image per paragraph; preferably between 300 and 1,000 words.
– Closing
– Conclusion/questions to encourage participation or comments on the post.

Profile sheet

Our contributors will have a profile page that includes a photo, a brief biography of 4-5 lines, and a link to your blog/social media (optional).

Terms and conditions

– The post can never be an advertisement for a particular establishment. Establishments may be mentioned and publicised, but only in a broader context, with content that is of interest to the reader.
E.g. We cannot write a post about a specific shop, but we can write about shopping in San Sebastián/the unique features of shopping in San Sebastián… and suggest a route where several shops can be recommended.

– The post must be original. If you wish to share a post published on another blog because you consider it interesting for visitors, you must check with Donostia San Sebastián Tourism, and if deemed appropriate, the author may write an introduction with original text (minimum 15 lines and one image) and add a link to the external post.

– Donostia San Sebastián Tourism may edit posts to ensure consistency in grammar, style and length. Any modifications will be checked with the author before publication.

– Donostia San Sebastián Tourism reserves the right to select which posts will be published.
