If you want more information, you can access to the detail info of the organizer.
The exhibition presents a selection of images from the Galarza collection of San Telmo Museoa, whose authors are the photographers Gregorio González Galarza and his son Carmelo González Campano. This is an important collection of photographs of the museum and the city, with more than 3,000 photographic documents covering the first half of the 20th century, following the development of the city during those years.
The exhibition is structured by themes or panoramas, emphasising the documentary nature of the images as a means of learning about the evolution of the city. The new expansion of Gros, the channelling of the Urumea and the construction of the new Ma Cristina and Kursaal bridges, the expansion of Amara and the new Antiguo neighbourhood, the Ulia and Igeldo amusement parks, the new image of La Concha beach and the Alderdi Eder gardens, etc. appear before our eyes showing an attractive and cosmopolitan city in constant renovation.
