Saint Jean de Luz
One of the main attractions of Saint-Jean-de-Luz is its beautiful beach, known as the Grande Plage, and the promenade that borders it.
Rue Gambetta is the main pedestrian street and is where most of the shops are to be found. There are boutiques and establishments selling sweetmeats, local produce, typical Basque wares, etc. But the most important building in the street is the Église Saint-Jean-Baptiste, built between the 15th and 16th centuries, considered to be one of the most representative churches of the Basque Country. The Place Louis XIV, the Harbour and the market, Les Halles, are other places not to be missed if you visit Saint-Jean-de-Luz.
