The Adarra Award is presented to an artist or initiative in recognition of their significant contribution to the legacy of Basque music. The award is presented every June 21, European Music Day, on the stage of the Victoria Eugenia Theater.
The pioneering duo Pantxoa eta Peio will receive the 2026 Adarra Award from Jon Insausti, mayor of Donostia/San Sebastián, and will then give a concert accompanied by musicians Iñaki Dieguez (accordion), Mixel Ducau (guitar), Dánae Riaño (bass and backing vocals), Gorka Pastor (keyboards), and Josu Erbiti (percussion).
In their heyday, the duo performed hundreds of concerts annually throughout the Basque Country. Thousands of people, thousands of experiences, and thousands of kilometers.
Before their final two concerts in January 2027, they have organized this final tour, revisiting some moments etched in their memory—places that hold special symbolic value for the duo.
