The choreographic piece M is the result of a collaboration between dancer Arantza Iglesias and singer and poet Ane García. The words we repeat endlessly contain many layers—for example, the word “mother.” But when we search for its core, we find an entire universe where a life freer than the word itself emerges. This piece takes shape in the relationship between movement and voice: in the oscillation, undulation, vibration, and pulse that arise between the two. What does it mean to translate into matter? What does it imply to return something to matter, over and over again? In this piece, bodies and voices move between the sky and the cave, between the sun and the moon, so that something may occur that transcends the two performers: a shared space that embraces a wide variety of bodily states.
