Pausa is a plea for inner calm and silence. Hilario Rodeiro draws inspiration from the European jazz of Bobo Stenson and Mats Eilertsen, combining traditional music and modern jazz as if it were a conversation between the past and the present, in one of the most introspective, fascinating, and mysterious albums of 2024.
A collaborator with artists such as Gordon Lee, Ilja Reijngoud, Bob Sands, and Deborah Carter, this Galician drummer, producer, and composer based in the Basque Country has also extended his compositions to the world of contemporary dance.
