The city of San Sebastian has an area with the Low-Emission Zone (LEZ) or Isuri Gutxiko Eremua (IGE) in Basque and (ZBE) in Spanish.
The LEZ is composed exclusively of the city centre: the area highlighted in green on the map.
During the years 2025–2027 the following foreign vehicles will be able to enter:
– Passenger cars and vans (petrol and diesel) from 01-01-2006
– Motorcycles and mopeds from 01-01-2004
– Buses, coaches and trucks:
• Petrol: from 01-10-2001
• Diesel: from 01-10-2006

YOU MUST REGISTER IN ALL CASES,
if your vehicle has a foreign number plate.
Motorcycles, along with hybrid and electric vehicles, must also undergo this procedure.
If you enter the Low-Emission Zone without beeing registered, you will be fined.

You cannot enter the city if you don’t register your vehicle. If you do you will get a fine. However you can park your vehicle very close to the center. These are the options:
