2% of your purchases of tourism experiences will go to an initiative that combines social support, youth volunteering and community.

Maitaro is a project that was launched at Christmas 2024 with the aim of combating loneliness among long-term hospital patients. It is a pioneering initiative against unwanted loneliness in hospitals that promotes youth volunteering and social support for people admitted to Donostia University Hospital. Since its launch, 18 young volunteers have provided more than 200 visits, offering social and emotional support to 47 patients after receiving 15 hours of training.

For the third consecutive year, Donostia San Sebastián Turismoa wants those visiting us to have a positive economic impact beyond the tourism sector proper. This is why, for 12 months, 2% of sales* of tourist cards and activities will go to Maitaro.

The 2% campaign will be operating for 12 months, from 1 November 2025 to 31 October 2026.
