Miramón, where Science, History and Nature meet
Situated in the highest part of the city, between Aiete and the hospital area. In the past, it was full of farmhouses surrounded by nature, of which Katxola farmhouse still remains. Although today it has become the Technology Park, it has not lost its essence: a place where innovation has blended with nature.
You can easily get there by bus, which stops right at the park entrance. Stroll among its modern buildings and enjoy their diverse and innovative shapes and structures.

Among all the buildings, two are must-sees. The first is the Basque Culinary Center, whose architecture is as original as it is impressive, integrated into nature as if it emerged from it.
The other emblematic building is the Arbide Towers, a small castle built in 1904 in the centre of Donostia / San Sebastián and moved here, piece by piece, between 1972 and 1975.
On the way, you will find the Science Museum, one of the best activities to do with children in San Sebastián. Even before entering, you can enjoy a magical garden where you walk among miniature versions of Gipuzkoa’s most iconic buildings. Play and experiment at Eureka! Zientzia Museoa, ride the simulators and explore the galaxy at the San Sebastián Planetarium.

After this walk through the more urbanised area, we recommend immersing yourself in nature and enjoying one of the city’s most beautiful parks. Miramón Park is a small natural forest full of flora and fauna, where you will find a stone amphitheatre, perfect for sitting as if you were a spectator in a Roman circus. In the centre of the park, there is a lovely pond where you can rest.
