In 1973, just 6 years into shortboard revolution, an era of radical change, a family of board builders in the Basque Country entered the picture, and Pukas Surf was formed in 1979. This soon expanded to bikinis, clothing, multi brand shops, contest and surf schools, eventually becoming the backbone of European surfing and one of the biggest board manufacturers of the world.
